The Base Value of Triple Axel has been Changed! From 7.5, it will get a base value of 8.3 now!
3a before = 7.5 base value
3a NOW = 8.3 base value
0.8 is a big p0int already! Based on what we saw on last two World Champs (2007 Tokyo and 2008 Goteborg) the points between first (gold) and second (silver) is "less than a point" or just "a p0int or two"
Thank God ISU decided to do that. One of the best ISU ruling change ever made!
